Das erste Hochzeitsfest im Jahr 2011
Das erste Hochzeitsfest im Jahr 2011 war dasjenige zweier Akademiker in Luzern. Celine und Thomas ‒ beide verfügen über ein Doktorat ‒ stammen aus der Schweiz und sind an der Stanford University in Kalifornien tätig. Sie luden Familie und Freunde aus aller Welt ein, unter anderem von Universitäten in Heidelberg, Basel und England. Es war eine Mischung von Alt und Jung, was meine ganze Erfahrung erforderte, um die richtige Musik für das Abendessen und das anschliessende Tanzen auszuwählen. Da ich noch zwei zusätzliche Stunden bis 3.00 Uhr arbeitete, darf man den Abend wohl als Erfolg ansehen. Thomas war ganz erstaunt, als er seine Schwiegermutter den Twist tanzen sah.

We want to thank you for the terrific job you did at our wedding! The background music for the dinner was at a perfectly comfortable volume. And with your broad mix of music you managed to encourage the younger as well as the older crowd to dance until late! In particular, the opening of the dance floor, which had kept our minds busy for days, went so smoothly we could hardly believe it. And seeing Celine’s mom and her older sister (both around the age of 65!) dance the twist…well..we are pretty confident they haven’t done that since their twenties. Awesome.
Thank you also for taking some nice pictures. Please let us know, how you want to share them. We are not sure whether sending them to the USA is too much trouble. We could possible have someone pick them up ate your office too.
